Fuji music veteran Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam1, has sparked fresh controversy after describing any unplanned pregnancy from his relationships as a “promo” while responding to allegations made by a former partner.
The singer made the remarks during a live performance over the weekend, days after his former pedicurist, Ogechi, publicly accused him of abandoning her and their teenage daughter, Azizat Tiwalade Ayinde Marshall.
Ogechi alleged that she was in a relationship with the Fuji star for seven years before becoming pregnant. According to her, K1 De Ultimate refused to provide money for an abortion and later cut off communication by blocking her.
Responding to the allegations on stage in Yoruba, the musician appeared to dismiss the claims while joking about the situation.
He said, “Eni ba loyun koyun, to ba loyun koyun, Saara ni,” a statement translated to mean that any unplanned pregnancy from a woman in a relationship with him should be regarded as a “free gift” or “promo.”
The comment has since generated widespread reactions online, with social media users debating the singer’s response amid the unresolved allegations.
Neither K1 De Ultimate nor his representatives has issued a formal statement addressing the specific claims made by Ogechi beyond the remarks made during the performance.
