Big Brother has unveiled the first major twist of BBNaija Season 11, announcing that housemates will compete as male and female teams in selected tasks throughout the competition.
The surprise announcement was made on Sunday night, shortly after the launch of the new season.
Addressing the contestants, Biggie revealed that the house would be divided along gender lines for several key activities.
“The house would be split into two groups, the guys and the ladies, with key house challenges to be contested along those lines.”
Under the new format, the male and female teams will go head-to-head in arena games, wager presentations and other designated competitions.
The twist is expected to test teamwork, strategy and coordination, with housemates required to work together to secure victories and earn rewards for their respective teams.
The announcement comes as Season 11 gets underway with a new crop of contestants competing for the show’s ₦160 million grand prize under the theme “Show Yourself.”
With the gender-based rivalry now in place, viewers can expect heightened competition as the men and women battle for bragging rights and crucial wins in the weeks ahead.
