Brentford have reached an agreement with defender Michael Kayode on a new long-term contract, extending the Italian full-back’s stay at the Premier League club until June 2032.
The new deal is seen as a move to fend off growing transfer interest following the 21-year-old’s impressive performances last season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed the development on his X account on Friday.
“EXCL: Brentford agree new deal for Michael Kayode valid until June 2032!
“All sealed as Brentford make huge, smart move to keep one of the most wanted RBs around.
“21-year-old Italian talent did excellent last season + big part of Brentford plans, club sources confirm.”
