The disagreement reportedly began on May 26 after Seyi Vibez accused Zlatan of making subtle jabs at his Fuji Moto project. The claims were linked to ad-libs heard on Life of the Faaji, a track by Adekunle Gold.
According to the accusations, Seyi Vibez interpreted the remarks as disrespectful and responded strongly, referring to Zlatan as a ābackup artiste.ā He also criticised the rapperās clothing brand in the process, escalating the public exchange.

On Thursday, Zlatan moved to calm the situation, posting an apology on his social media account. He stressed that there had been a misunderstanding and insisted there was no intent to insult Seyi Vibez.
