Parents and students who lost millions of shillings in the Uasin Gishu County overseas education scholarship scandal are now calling on President William Ruto to intervene and help them recover their money, as he had previously promised.
The affected parents staged peaceful demonstrations in Eldoret City on Tuesday but did not meet Governor Jonathan Bii. The victims also suffered another blow after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) said it had no legal mandate to open the case after the court delivered its ruling.
