Nigerian music promoter and socialite Sam Larry has reportedly been hospitalised following a road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos.
According to reports, the crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the vehicle carrying Sam Larry allegedly collided with a trailer.
Unconfirmed reports also claimed that his bouncer died at the scene of the accident, while Sam Larry was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Videos and photographs circulating on social media showed a badly damaged vehicle said to have been involved in the crash. However, authorities had not officially confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident or the reported casualty at the time of filing this report.
The incident drew attention after comedian and master of ceremonies Mario Wazobia appealed for prayers on Instagram.
Sharing photos from the scene, Mario Wazobia wrote, “Pray for SammyLarry,” adding that reports indicated Sam Larry was receiving treatment in hospital while his bouncer lost his life in the crash.
As of the time of publication, neither Sam Larry nor his representatives had issued an official statement on the incident, and emergency authorities had yet to publicly verify the reported fatality.
