Nollywood veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has described his journey at 65 as a gift, saying he feels like he is “living extra time.”
The award-winning actor shared his reflections during a recent appearance on The Moraya Show, where he spoke about ageing, gratitude, and maintaining a positive outlook on life.
RMD said reaching his current age holds special meaning for him, noting that his parents did not live to celebrate their 60th birthdays.
“Being 65, I feel like I am living an extra time right now. My parents didn’t make 60,” he said.
The actor expressed appreciation for being alive and Nigerian at a time when entrepreneurship and self-employment continue to grow globally.
According to him, his life has been shaped by gratitude and the opportunity to witness changing times.
Speaking about how he maintains his youthful appearance and energy, RMD attributed it to healthy living, including proper nutrition and exercise.
He also shared a personal philosophy that guides his approach to ageing, saying he does not allow himself to adopt limitations associated with growing older.
The actor added that he continues to maintain his fashion style despite his age, refusing to let ageing affect how he presents himself.
RMD revealed that even his children still react to his fashion choices, but he remains committed to his personal style.
