Danielle Edochie, daughter of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has made her stance on dating internet fraudsters clear, saying she would never consider a romantic relationship with anyone involved in online scams.
In a video shared on her social media page, Danielle said she finds it surprising that some people assume she would be interested in dating so-called “Yahoo boys” because of their financial status.
According to her, while she appreciates financial success like many people, she cannot overlook the source of someone’s wealth.
“I will never romanticise the idea of being a partner of someone who defrauds people, whether physically or online,” she said.
Danielle explained that she could not understand why she would commit herself to someone whose lifestyle depends on stealing from others. She acknowledged that some women may be attracted to the money associated with internet fraud but stressed that such wealth holds no appeal for her.
“I love money too, but please, just stay far away from me,” she added, warning internet fraudsters against approaching her for a relationship.
Her comments come amid ongoing public conversations about internet fraud and its growing influence on youth culture, with celebrities and public figures continuing to express differing views on the issue. Danielle’s remarks firmly align her with those who reject fraud as a basis for financial success or romantic attraction.
