Nigerian music star Davido has revealed that his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, still provides financial support to his children despite their individual success.
The singer made the disclosure during a recent interview while discussing his relationship with his father and the strong support system within the Adeleke family.
According to Davido, his father remains generous and often rewards his children when they achieve significant milestones.
“I’d be lying to you if I told you that my dad still doesn’t give his kids money,” the Afrobeats star said.
Recalling a memorable experience, Davido revealed that his father gifted him $300,000 after attending one of his arena concerts.
“I remember after my arena show, which he attended, he called me and congratulated me, saying that it was a good show, and then he wired me $300,000,” he added.
Davido, popularly known as O.B.O, has repeatedly spoken about the importance of separating his personal achievements from his family’s wealth. Despite being born into a wealthy home, he has maintained that he built his music career through hard work and consistency in the entertainment industry.
