Organisers of the Big Brother Naija have cautioned the public against fraudulent claims demanding payment for audition participation, reiterating that the selection process is completely free.
In a statement shared on X, the organisers clarified that no applicant is required to pay any fee to participate in the ongoing audition process.
They described any message requesting payment as fake and urged prospective contestants to disregard such communications immediately.
According to the statement, auditions for the reality show remain open, fair, and accessible to all eligible Nigerians, with official updates available only through verified platforms such as Africa Magic and Big Brother Naija channels.
“False Claim of Payment for Big Brother Naija Auditions. Any communication requesting payment related to Big Brother Naija auditions is false and should be disregarded,” the organisers stated.
They further emphasised that applicants must rely strictly on official sources for accurate information regarding registration and audition procedures.
The organisers expressed appreciation for public interest in the show while urging caution against misinformation and online scams targeting hopeful contestants.
The warning comes as auditions for Season 11 are currently underway.
Online registration opened on May 16, 2026, and is scheduled to close on May 20, 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Physical auditions are expected to take place between May 22 and May 24, 2026, across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
The organisers also reiterated their commitment to maintaining transparency throughout the selection process and encouraged applicants to stay alert to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
