Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a 40-year-old man suspected of supplying food and other provisions to a Boko Haram-linked location in Adamawa State.
The suspect, identified as Mallam Badamasi Maikudi, was apprehended in Garaha town, Hong Local Government Area, during a joint operation involving soldiers and local hunters.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the arrest in a post on his X account on Saturday, citing military sources.
According to the report, personnel of the 232 Battalion, Tactical, working alongside a hunters’ group, became suspicious of Maikudi’s movements and monitored his activities before arresting him.
Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect allegedly supplied energy soft drinks and foodstuffs regularly to a location believed to be associated with terrorists.
Maikudi remains in military custody as investigators work to establish the nature and extent of his alleged connection to the terrorist network.
The latest arrest forms part of ongoing security operations in the region aimed at identifying individuals suspected of providing logistical support to terrorist groups.
