Ariana Grande has announced her eighth studio album titled Petal, the album will be released on July 31 through Republic Records.
Grande co-wrote and executive produced the project with producer Ilya Salmanzadeh.
She described the album as a reflection of growth through difficult experiences. “Something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging,” Grande said.
Ilya, a Swedish-Persian producer, previously worked with Max Martin on several projects.
He also co-produced Grande’s 2024 album Eternal Sunshine.
Grande has been teasing the project with studio photos in recent months.
The announcement follows years of work on the Wicked film project and its sequel. She also released Eternal Sunshine and its 2025 deluxe edition during that period, Grande is set to begin a summer tour in June.
The tour was initially linked to Eternal Sunshine but may now include material from Peta, Grande previously said the tour could be her last for a long time. “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,” she said in an interview.
She added that she sees the tour as a final major run before a long break from touring.
