Veteran Nigerian filmmaker and comedian Okiki Adesina, popularly known as Janmole, has died following a fatal car accident.
Reports indicate that the Nollywood actor lost his life on Monday in a ghastly motor crash. His death was later confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin.
Mr Latin announced the tragic incident on his Instagram page on Tuesday, expressing grief over the loss of the entertainer.
“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace,” he wrote. He also prayed for strength for the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased to bear the loss.
Okiki Adesina was known within the Nigerian film industry for his work as a filmmaker and comedian and had built a reputation over the years in Nollywood circles.
According to reports, the late actor had previously survived a fire accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway nearly four years ago before this fatal crash.
His passing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans mourning his sudden death.
