Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to the public for financial assistance as she prepares to undergo a series of urgent life-saving surgeries.
In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, the actress revealed that she has been hospitalized for the past three weeks. She, however, did not disclose the medical condition requiring the procedures.
Addressing her fans, colleagues, and well-wishers, Nwosu said making the appeal was difficult but necessary.
“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet any more. I need urgent life-saving surgeries,” she said.
The actress also urged members of the public to help spread her message and support her in any way they can.“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction,” she pleaded.
According to Nwosu, the total cost of the required surgeries is ₦30 million. She directed prospective donors to contact her legal representative or management team for further information on how to provide support.
“Please contact my legal representative or management for more details. Total amount needed for all surgeries is: ₦30,000,000,” she added.
Ngozi Nwosu is a respected figure in Nigeria’s film industry, celebrated for her performances in classics such as Domitila and the television comedy series Fuji House of Commotion. Her appeal has since drawn attention from fans and members of the entertainment community, many of whom have expressed support for her recovery.
