Popular Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan and Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti have sparked speculation of a fallout after unfollowing each other on Instagram.
The move, noticed by fans on Wednesday, has fueled rumors of a rift between the two, especially as it comes amid VeryDarkMan’s ongoing legal dispute with businessman Blord.
Although neither party has publicly addressed the situation, Seun Kuti appeared to take a swipe at the influencer’s supporters in a post shared on his Instagram story.
Mocking the fanbase—commonly referred to as “Ratel”—the singer wrote, “You are rats, not ratels. Why una dey disguise?”

The development comes weeks after VeryDarkMan publicly backed Seun Kuti during his clash with Wizkid over comments perceived as disrespectful to the legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
