Nollywood actress Ufuoma McDermott has reassured fans about her wellbeing after receiving a wave of messages and calls from concerned supporters.
In a post shared on Instagram, the actress said she appreciated the outpouring of love but confirmed that she is doing well.
McDermott explained that many of the messages were sent out of genuine care, but stressed that there is no cause for alarm regarding her health or wellbeing.
“Thank you. I’ve received tons of messages and calls. I know you’re just checking up, out of love, but I am ok. I promise. I’m well,” she wrote.
She also encouraged fans to redirect their attention toward national issues, urging them to pray for Nigeria.
“Let’s focus and pray for our country now,” she added.
The actress’s message comes amid heightened public sensitivity following the death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, which has led to increased concern among fans checking on other entertainers.
The widespread reactions have prompted several public figures to address their followers directly to reassure them of their wellbeing.
