Uche Montana has been named the recipient of the Trailblazer Award at the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards held in Lagos.
The award, presented on Saturday, recognises emerging talents making notable contributions to African film and digital storytelling.
Montana earned the honour for her growing body of work across television productions and online content platforms, where she has gained attention for both her acting performances and original creative projects.
The Trailblazer category is one of the AMVCA’s special recognition awards and is decided outside the regular public voting and jury-based categories.
Over the years, the award has been presented to actors and filmmakers considered influential in shaping new trends within Nollywood and the broader African entertainment industry.
Uche Montana received the recognition during a ceremony featuring 32 award categories covering film, television, and digital content.
The event was broadcast live on Africa Magic channels and streamed via DStv Stream and GOtv Stream platforms.
Her latest achievement adds to the increasing recognition of young Nigerian creatives using film and digital media to connect African stories with wider and younger audiences.
