The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has offered a different account of the circumstances surrounding her death, claiming that she died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Onadeko made the claim during a recent interview while addressing several reports and speculations that emerged following the actress’ death.
He disputed reports that Osoba died from breast cancer, despite her having previously spoken publicly about her diagnosis and treatment.
According to Onadeko, he received a phone call around midnight informing him that the actress had died at a police station in Ikorodu.
“In my own understanding, Temitope did not die from cancer. I received a call around midnight from someone who told me she had died at a police station in Ikorodu,” he said.
Osoba, who was 40 at the time of her death, had publicly documented her experience with breast cancer and discussed her treatment journey.
Onadeko also rejected allegations that she was poisoned or neglected, as well as claims that money raised to support her cancer treatment had been mishandled.
He further dismissed reports that Osoba had been prevented from driving, saying she had driven herself to Iperu shortly before her death.
The cleric also denied allegations that the actress had been subjected to abuse or degrading treatment.
Among the claims he rejected were reports alleging that she had been humiliated through the use of bodily waste as punishment.
Onadeko’s comments provide his account of events surrounding Osoba’s final days, while several of the claims and counterclaims surrounding her death remain disputed.
