Nigeria’s senior women’s national team is scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom for a high-performance training camp later this May. The initiative is a strategic step in the Super Falcons’ build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Between May 23 and 28, the ten-time continental champions will participate in a single exhibition match. Head coach Justine Madugu plans to utilize this window to integrate fresh talent into the squad, as several established regulars remain unavailable due to domestic league obligations.
This overseas excursion follows the recent cancellation of a two-match series against Cape Verde, which was originally slated for the Remo Stars Stadium before the visitors withdrew. Looking further ahead, the Nigerian side intends to finalize additional fixtures during the subsequent FIFA international window, currently marked for June 7 to 14.
