Super Falcons striker Joy Omewa has signed for Swedish league champions BK Häcken after completing a free transfer.
Swedish media outlet STV reports that the club has concluded the deal for the 23-year-old, who became a free agent after leaving English Championship side Nottingham Forest at the end of her contract last month.
Omewa will reunite with fellow Nigeria international Halimat Ayinde at Häcken, with both players included in the Super Falcons squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The forward began her professional career with Denmark’s Boldklubben af 1893 in 2021 before joining Fortuna Hjørring midway through the season. During the 2024/25 campaign, she played a key role in Fortuna Hjørring’s domestic league and cup triumph, scoring 22 goals in 24 league matches.
