Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn against Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau in the qualification series for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The draw was conducted on Tuesday at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters in Cairo.
Coached by Éric Chelle, the Super Eagles entered the draw as one of the seeded sides alongside several of Africa’s leading national teams.
Nigeria are widely expected to top the group, with the top two teams advancing to the AFCON 2027 tournament.
The qualification campaign will be held during three FIFA international windows between September 2026 and March 2027.
The opening two rounds of matches are slated for 21 September and 6 October 2026, while rounds three and four will be played from 9 to 17 November 2026.
The final set of qualifying fixtures will take place between 22 and 30 March 2027.
