Nigerian singer Spyro has shared the story of how he met his partner, Janet Atom, revealing that their relationship began after a chance encounter at a nightclub where she was working.
Speaking during an interview, the singer explained that Janet was at the venue as an employee, not as a guest. He stressed that his account was not intended as a criticism of people who go clubbing.
According to Spyro, he became curious about why she worked at the nightclub, prompting him to strike up a conversation with her.
What began as a casual interaction soon developed into a friendship, which gradually grew stronger over time.
The singer said he eventually realised Janet possessed the qualities he had been looking for in a life partner, even though marriage was not on his mind when they first met.
Spyro explained that as their friendship deepened, he changed his perspective and decided to pursue a serious relationship, believing he had found someone special.
“I met her working in the club, not partying in the club, but that’s not to say that partying is wrong,” he said. “We got talking and we became friends. One day, I realised what I had been looking for was right in front of me.”
He added that once he recognised his feelings, he acted quickly because he did not want to lose the opportunity to build a future with her.
