Peter Okoye, one half of the former music duo P-Square, has accused his twin brother, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, of taking advantage of the online criticism directed at him to damage his reputation.
The latest exchange follows the backlash Peter received after asking, “Who Naija language help?” while responding to a fan on social media. The remark triggered widespread criticism, with many accusing the singer of downplaying the value of indigenous Nigerian languages.
Amid the controversy, Rudeboy shared a series of posts on X distancing himself from his brother’s position, declaring that he was “a nobody” without his culture, native roots and language.
Responding to the posts, Peter alleged that his brother had once again seized the opportunity to publicly undermine him.
He said although he accepted the criticism over his statement, he believed Rudeboy deliberately misrepresented his comments to fuel negative public perception.
Peter also referenced an open letter he wrote two years ago, claiming his brother had consistently tried to turn public opinion against him.
According to the singer, Rudeboy frequently joins public criticism directed at him instead of offering support, describing the pattern as a recurring effort to damage his image.
The latest war of words adds another chapter to the long-running public rift between the twin brothers, whose relationship has remained strained since the breakup of the iconic P-Square music group.
