Nigerian TikTok star Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has warned Nollywood producers and skitmakers against casting his wife, Elizabeth Amadu, also known as Jarvis, in kissing or romantic roles with other male actors.
Speaking during a recent livestream, Peller said his position was based on the couple’s newly-married status and his view that such roles would be disrespectful to their union.
He urged producers to avoid assigning Jarvis romantic roles involving physical intimacy with other actors.
“Nollywood producers, you can see that Jarvis and I are now married. Don’t ever give her a kissing role. I don’t want her acting in romantic roles with any actor,” he said.
Peller went further to warn those who disregard his position, saying he would “harm” anyone who failed to heed his warning.
“I am warning you all, stay in your lane. To be fore warned is to be fore armed. I will harm anyone who refuses to heed my warning,” he added.
The comments come shortly after Peller and Jarvis formalised their relationship with their wedding, which has attracted considerable attention across social media.
The pair became one of Nigeria’s most prominent TikTok couples through their joint content and livestreams before taking their relationship into marriage.
Peller’s remarks have now added a new dimension to discussions around Jarvis’ career and whether her marriage will influence the type of acting roles she accepts going forward.
