Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has announced the heartbreaking loss of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Doyle, who died just a day after her birth.
The infant passed away on Saturday, April 11, shortly after being welcomed into the world on Friday morning.
Doyle shared the news with the public in a post on Facebook on Sunday, reflecting on the brief but meaningful time his family spent with the child.
According to the actor, Omayinuwa was born at about 10:40 a.m. on April 10 and died around 4:15 p.m. the following day. Despite the short duration of her life, he described her presence as a source of immense joy to the family.
While expressing sorrow over the loss, Doyle also emphasized his family’s strong faith, stating that they remain steadfast in their belief in God’s will. He conveyed a message of resilience, noting that although they wished for more time with their daughter, they accept the situation with spiritual conviction.
The late infant was Doyle’s child with his wife, Funmilayo Doyle, whom he recently welcomed the baby with.
Following the announcement, messages of sympathy and support have continued to pour in from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across social media, offering prayers and condolences to the grieving family.
