Esther Okoronkwo has resumed training after spending several weeks on the sidelines with injury.
The Super Falcons forward suffered a hamstring problem during AFC Toronto’s league fixture against Halifax early last month, forcing her to miss the club’s last five matches. The injury also ruled her out of Nigeria’s recent international friendlies against Senegal.
The 29-year-old is now in contention to make her return when AFC Toronto face Montreal Roses at York Lions Stadium on Saturday.
Okoronkwo was a key contributor to AFC Toronto’s league title triumph last season.
