The Nigeria National League (NNL) is expected to announce the commencement date for the 2026/27 season following its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The decision will be made at the league’s 2026 AGM, scheduled for Friday, August 21, in Owerri.
The meeting will provide clubs with an opportunity to discuss the season’s roadmap, club licensing requirements, and possible amendments to the NNL regulations.
The 2025/26 campaign concluded in June, with Sporting Lagos, Doma United, Inter Lagos and Ranchers Bees securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Sporting Lagos emerged as champions after finishing top of the NNL playoff standings in Ikenne.
