Brazilian football icon Kaka has shared his early predictions for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including standout player, best coach, and potential champions of the tournament set to be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
In an interview with The Athletic, the 2002 World Cup winner said Lamine Yamal is his pick for the tournament’s best player, praising the Barcelona youngster’s rapid rise and consistency at the top level.
Kaká also backed Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti as the coach most likely to excel, noting his vast experience in elite competition despite it being his first international tournament.
He further predicted that Brazil national football team will go on to win a sixth World Cup title.
On the hosts, he suggested that the United States men’s national soccer team could reach the semi-finals, calling it a possible breakthrough run.
Kaká also named the 2006 France national football team side as the toughest opponent he faced during his career.
Brazil have been drawn in Group C, where they will face Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland in the group stage.
