Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has qualified for the women’s 100m hurdles final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games after producing a dominant performance in the heats.
The world record holder won her race in 12.19 seconds, setting a new Commonwealth Games record and posting the fastest time ever recorded at the event. The run also ranks as the third quickest of her career.
South Africa’s Marione Fourie finished second in 12.50 seconds, while Jamaica’s Kerrica Hill placed third in 12.69 seconds.
Amusan will now bid for a third successive Commonwealth Games gold medal later on Thursday, with the Nigerian entering the final as the clear favourite to retain her title.
