The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested Emmanuel Odiniya, father of Ilebaye Odiniya, following an alleged domestic assault incident reported in Abuja.
According to police authorities, the arrest followed a distress call from residents of Royal Anchor Estate in Wuye in the early hours of Saturday, reporting a case of physical violence within a private residence.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh confirmed that officers from the Wuye Division, supported by operatives of the Command’s Department of Operations, were immediately deployed to the scene.
She said officers initially faced difficulty gaining access to the property but eventually entered the premises after several attempts.
The police stated that the reality TV star was found in a distressed condition and was immediately rescued alongside other family members before being taken to the NNPC Hospital in Abuja for medical attention.
Her father was subsequently taken into custody while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
Authorities added that the situation is being thoroughly reviewed to determine the full details of what transpired inside the residence.
The development comes shortly after public concern grew online following a viral livestream showing the reality star in a distressed state earlier in the day.
