Veteran Nigerian broadcaster Frank Edoho has said he does not want his death to be associated with any woman, regardless of the relationship involved.
Edoho made the remark during a recent appearance on the Outside The Box podcast, which was later re-uploaded to YouTube.
In the interview, the media personality reflected on life, mortality, and the kind of legacy he hopes to leave behind. He said his priority is to be remembered for positively impacting people rather than being surrounded by unresolved emotional pain or regret.
He also spoke about male vulnerability and silent struggles, noting that he wants to leave the world with peace of mind and a sense that he did his best for others.
According to him, he hopes that when his life is assessed, it would not include difficult questions about being “taken out” or affected by a woman in any form—whether as a wife, daughter, or mother.
“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me and they say it’s a woman. Whether that woman be my daughter, my wife, my mother, I don’t want that. I don’t want that to be my way out of this portal,” Edoho said.
He added that his ideal reflection at the end of life would be one of gratitude and impact, expressing a desire to die with a smile and the belief that he consistently tried to bring happiness to those he encountered.
“I want to die with a smile on my face, saying that all the people I met, I tried to put a smile on their face, and to have the only regret that I wish I did more good,” he added.
Edoho, widely known for hosting the Nigerian edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, remains one of the country’s most recognisable television personalities.
