Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have booked a place in the semi-finals of the WAFU B U-20 Championship following a convincing 3-0 victory over Togo’s Sparrow Hawks.
The result also ended Togo’s campaign after their earlier 3-1 defeat to Burkina Faso.
After a goalless first half with few clear chances, Nigeria stepped up the pace after the restart. Muiz Adeleke broke the deadlock in the 46th minute before adding his second just before the hour mark, taking his tally to four goals in two matches.
Abdullahi Agbeloye sealed the win with a late goal to complete a dominant second-half display.
The Flying Eagles now lead Group B with six points and will face Burkina Faso in their final group match on Sunday.
