England striker, Ivan Toney has been charged with assault following an incident at a London nightclub in December 2025.
Toney was charged on July 31 with assault causing actual bodily harm and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, on Sept. 24.
The charge relates to an incident that allegedly occurred in Soho on Dec. 6, 2025.
A spokesperson for Toney said the striker acknowledges the charge and, while naturally shocked, looks forward to having the opportunity to clear his name in court.
Toney currently plays for Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli and was included in England’s World Cup squad earlier this summer.
The 30-year-old made a late appearance in England’s 2-1 semifinal defeat to Argentina before starting the third-place playoff against France, which England won 6-4. He has 10 international caps and one goal.
Before moving to Saudi Arabia, Toney helped Brentford gain promotion to the Premier League from the Championship. He scored 36 goals in 85 Premier League appearances and has also played for Northampton Town, Newcastle United and Peterborough United.
