Rafiu Durosinmi has set his sights on finishing as the Belgian Pro League’s leading scorer this season after making a strong start with Genk.
The Nigeria international opened the scoring against Zulte Waregem on Sunday, but Genk suffered a 2-1 defeat after the hosts staged a comeback.
Despite the loss, Durosinmi was named Man of the Match for his performance.
The striker is aiming to emulate fellow Nigerians Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare by claiming the league’s top scorer award.
“I want to score; I want to finish high in the standings, and I also want to go for the top scorer title. I have always dreamed of that,” Durosinmi told DAZN.
Genk will look to return to winning ways when they welcome Westerlo to the Cegeka Arena on Saturday.
