MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere on Saturday, July 26, with the winner set to receive a record-breaking N160 million grand prize.
The organisers unveiled details of the new season during a press briefing on Wednesday, confirming that this year’s prize is the largest in the history of the reality television show since its debut in 2006.
According to MultiChoice, the selection process included physical auditions held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu.
The auditions were free of charge and open to applicants aged 21 years and above who presented valid means of identification.
The announcement comes as anticipation builds for another edition of one of Nigeria’s most-watched reality television programmes.
The previous season was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, who emerged victorious over 28 other housemates in the grand finale held on October 5, 2025.
Imisi walked away with a prize package valued at N150 million, comprising N80 million in cash and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
With the prize money increased to N160 million, Season 11 is expected to be the most lucrative edition of the show to date, raising the stakes for contestants competing for the coveted title.
