Big Brother Naija Season 11 has introduced its first major twist, with housemates Flora and Aikou officially unveiled as the season’s Gambits.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced the outcome during Sunday’s live show after viewers cast their votes to determine the two housemates who would assume the special role.
Flora secured the highest support with 29.18% of the votes, while Aikou claimed the second Gambit position after polling 9.10%.
Under the new format, both housemates are guaranteed to remain in the house until the grand finale, effectively placing them beyond the reach of weekly evictions.
However, the privilege comes with a significant trade-off. Despite making it to the end of the competition, Flora and Aikou will not be eligible to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize.
Instead, Big Brother announced that they will receive the rewards attached to every task won in the house throughout the season.
The development adds another strategic layer to the “Show Ya Sef” edition, which premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for the coveted prize.
The Gambit twist means the remaining contestants will continue battling through nominations, tasks and evictions for a chance to win the grand prize, while Flora and Aikou enjoy guaranteed spots in the finale.
Season 11 is scheduled to run for 10 weeks, culminating in the grand finale in October.
