Two Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates, Mercedes and Bells, may have uncovered one of the show’s biggest secrets after linking Flora’s emotional reaction following a Diary Room session to the season’s mysterious Gambit twist.
During a conversation on Thursday, the pair speculated that Flora is one of Big Brother’s undercover Gambits, saying her behaviour after leaving the Diary Room raised suspicion.
“I think Flora is the Gambit,” Mercedes said.
Bells, surprised by the claim, asked, “How did you know? Is that why she’s been crying everywhere?”
Mercedes explained that Flora emerged from the Diary Room visibly emotional, leading her to believe Big Brother had just informed her of the secret assignment.
“She came out of the Diary Room and started crying immediately. I believe she’s been told she’s the Gambit,” she said.
When Bells questioned why the revelation would make Flora cry, Mercedes suggested it could be because Gambits remain in the competition but are ineligible to win the show’s ₦160 million grand prize.
“Yes now, she go follow dey the show but she no go win the money,” Mercedes said.
Bells jokingly proposed asking Flora directly if she fully understood what the Gambit role meant. However, Mercedes advised against confronting her.
“No, don’t. Don’t let her know we know,” she responded.
Unknown to the two housemates, their suspicions were accurate.
During Thursday’s Diary Room session, Big Brother officially informed Flora that she had been selected as one of this season’s Gambits and instructed her to keep the assignment strictly confidential.
“Flora, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret,” Big Brother told her.
The announcement left Flora visibly overwhelmed, and she broke down in tears after leaving the Diary Room.
Viewers have known since Sunday’s live launch show that Flora and Aikou were chosen as the season’s Gambits. However, the identities of the undercover housemates were expected to remain hidden from the other contestants.
Mercedes and Bells’ observations now suggest Flora’s emotional response may have unintentionally exposed her secret mission, potentially placing one of Big Brother’s biggest twists in jeopardy.
