Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Kola has stated that he never intended to pursue a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Dede, despite repeatedly expressing interest in her during the reality show.
Speaking during the second episode of the BBNaija reunion aired on Tuesday night, Kola maintained that dating Dede was never his objective.
“I never said I wanted to date Dede,” he said while addressing questions about their connection in the house.
The discussion took another turn when fellow ex-housemate Bright Morgan disclosed that he had advised Kola to stop chasing Dede during their time on the show.
According to Morgan, he encouraged his friend to focus on someone who genuinely reciprocated his feelings.
Dede, however, suggested that their relationship became strained after Kola referred to her as “the other person” during an interview following the show.
She revealed that Kola had contacted her after the reality show ended and assured her that there was no issue between them. However, she claimed his attitude changed whenever cameras were present.
Dede further alleged that they had a conversation at a birthday party hosted by former BBNaija star Tacha Akide, where Kola followed her to discuss events that occurred during their stay in Biggie’s house.
She also claimed that Kola later invited her to his residence, where they discussed a kiss they shared during the show.
Responding to the allegation, Kola firmly denied ever inviting Dede to his house.
The exchange highlighted lingering disagreements between the former housemates, adding another layer of drama to the ongoing reunion series as contestants revisit unresolved issues from their time in the BBNaija house.
