Nigerian comedian and actor Basketmouth, born Bright Okpocha, has delivered a well-received stand-up performance in Los Angeles as part of his ongoing 2026 North America tour.
The show, titled Moral of the Story, was held on Friday, April 28, at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, attracting a strong audience turnout despite being added to the tour schedule at short notice.
Basketmouth told the crowd he was pleasantly surprised by the level of attendance, noting that the Los Angeles stop was not originally included in the tour plan.
He also praised event host Seyi Brown for coordinating a capable organising team on short notice, crediting their efforts for the smooth execution of the show.
The event featured opening performances from emerging acts including Oludesh, Josh Breeze, and Seyi Brown, setting the tone before Basketmouth took the stage.
The comedian delivered an energetic set that kept the audience engaged for more than 45 minutes, blending storytelling and humour in a performance that resonated with attendees.
Notable guests at the event included Olaniyi Oladipo, Chief Executive Officer of Lay Events, alongside other industry figures based in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles show adds to Basketmouth’s expanding international tour footprint, as he continues to take Nigerian stand-up comedy to global audiences.
