Nigerian singer Asake has confirmed that his fourth studio album, M$NEY, will be released on May 1.
The announcement was made via Instagram, where the artiste shared a video showing a stone carver crafting what appears to be the album’s cover artwork.
The 13-track project marks a significant milestone for Asake, as it is his first full-length release under his independent imprint.
M$NEY will include previously released songs such as “Why Love,” “Badman Gangster” featuring Tiakola, and “Worship” with DJ Snake. The album is expected to continue his signature fusion of Fuji-influenced vocals, Amapiano rhythms, and Afrobeats.
The upcoming project extends a prolific run for the singer, who has released an album each year since his debut in 2022.
Asake first gained widespread attention with his 2020 single “Lady,” and has since become one of the most-streamed Afrobeats artistes globally. His debut album, Mr Money With The Vibe (2022), achieved commercial success and introduced audiences to his blend of street-hop, Fuji, and Amapiano sounds.
He followed up with Work of Art in 2023, which produced hits including “Lonely At The Top.” The album maintained strong chart performance, returning to the top of the Spotify Nigeria Weekly Top Albums chart in its 146th week.
In 2024, Asake released his third album, Lungu Boy, which featured international collaborations and set a record for the highest first-day streams for a Nigerian album on Spotify.
His growing global profile also earned him a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the Grammy Awards 2025.
With M$NEY, Asake enters a new phase of his career, combining creative independence with a track record of consistent commercial success.
