“Adolescence” emerged as the standout winner at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday night, bringing a celebrated awards run for the series created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne to a powerful close.
The Netflix limited series, which first aired more than a year ago, continued its strong awards momentum after sparking global conversation and earning widespread critical acclaim across both the UK and international television circles.
At London’s Royal Festival Hall, the show secured four major prizes, including Best Limited Series, Leading Actor for Stephen Graham, Supporting Actor for Owen Cooper, and Supporting Actress for Christine Tremarco.
The series had already picked up two BAFTA TV Craft Awards in the weeks leading up to the main ceremony, further underlining its technical and narrative strength.
Elsewhere on the night, Steve Coogan, Narges Rashidi and Katherine Parkinson also picked up individual honours across acting categories.
In the international category, Seth Rogen won Best International Series for The Studio, dedicating the award to his late co-star Catherine O’Hara.
The BAFTA TV Awards continue to highlight a year of strong competition across British and international television, but “Adolescence” proved to be the defining success story of the evening.
