Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 contestant Joanna has dismissed claims by fellow ex-housemate Jason Jae that they shared a one-night stand while participating in the reality show.
The controversy resurfaced during the second episode of the BBNaija reunion aired on Tuesday night, where Joanna addressed comments Jason made after leaving the show.
Viewers had previously speculated about what transpired between the pair following a late-night interaction shortly before Joanna’s eviction. During the original broadcast, cameras moved away from the scene, leaving details of the encounter unclear.
Speaking at the reunion, Joanna denied that any intimate activity took place. She said she was surprised when Jason later described the incident as a “one-night thing” during a post-show interview.
According to Joanna, she had been emotional that night following the eviction of fellow housemate Thelma. She explained that she woke up to find Jason in her bed and noticed he appeared physically aroused. She said she attempted to cover him up before they went back to sleep.
Joanna expressed disappointment that Jason later suggested their interaction was sexual, insisting that his account did not reflect what actually happened.
Jason Jae subsequently apologised for creating the impression that they had a one-night stand. However, he maintained that he never had romantic feelings for Joanna.
The former housemate also rejected Joanna’s suggestion that he pursued her after being turned down by another contestant, Dede, insisting that such claims were inaccurate.
The exchange became one of the key talking points of the reunion episode, reigniting discussions among fans about relationships and misunderstandings that emerged during the Season 10 reality show.
