British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has voiced concern over what he describes as growing injustice in Nigeria, urging global figures and entertainers to use their platforms to draw attention to the situation.
The artist, whose real name is Joseph Adenuga, made the appeal in a video message where he spoke passionately about the need for increased international awareness and advocacy.
Skepta, known for tracks such as Bad Energy Stay Far Away, said Nigerians have remained resilient despite long-standing challenges, but insisted that the country requires stronger external support to highlight ongoing issues.
He stressed that he intends to continue speaking out whenever possible, whether through live performances, public statements, or visual messaging, noting that silence on injustice is not an option for him.
“There is so much injustice in Nigeria… Nigerians need help. We need people to speak up for us,” he said, adding that the struggles faced in the country are often underreported or overlooked internationally.
While acknowledging the resilience of Nigerians, Skepta argued that this resilience should not be mistaken for acceptance of difficult conditions. He called on celebrities, activists, and global institutions to amplify the voices of those affected.
His comments have since sparked discussions online, with supporters praising his stance and others debating the role of entertainers in political and social advocacy.
