African champions, the Super Falcons, have commenced preparations for their upcoming international friendly matches against Senegal Women’s National Football Team.
Head coach Justine Madugu unveiled a 23-player roster for the two fixtures on Sunday, with players expected to begin reporting to camp on Monday, according to the team’s media schedule.
Both encounters will take place at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne. The first game is set for June 5, while the second will be played on June 8.
The friendlies form part of both teams’ build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco this July.
Nigeria have been placed in Group C alongside Malawi Women’s National Football Team, Zambia Women’s National Football Team and Egypt Women’s National Football Team.
Senegal will compete in Group A with hosts Morocco, Algeria and Kenya.
The tournament will also serve as Africa’s qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the four semi-finalists earning places at the global competition.
