Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has confirmed the suspension of her Instagram account following an ongoing dispute with social media critic and influencer VeryDarkMan.
The incident comes amid a heated online exchange between both personalities over allegations involving a sexual request, which has generated widespread reactions across social media platforms.
Phyna had earlier accused VeryDarkMan of attempting to turn public opinion against her after she reportedly declined his alleged request. The influencer, however, denied the claim, insisting that it is normal for adults to seek mutual consent and demanding evidence to support her allegation.
In response, the reality star shared screenshots of alleged private conversations with VeryDarkMan on her Instagram page.
Shortly after the posts went live, her Instagram account was suspended, sparking speculation and debate among users online. While some believed she may have deactivated the account herself, others suggested it was taken down following platform action.
Clarifying the situation via her X (formerly Twitter) account, Phyna stated that she did not deactivate her page.
“I didn’t deactivate my IG. Deactivate say wetin happen na? It got suspended,” she wrote.
The development has intensified discussions online, with supporters and critics of both parties continuing to share opposing views as the controversy unfolds.
