Nigerian fashion designer and digital creator Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, have welcomed their first child together.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that their daughter, Eliana Adeife Atere, was born on May 2, 2026.
In the announcement, Veekee James explained the meaning behind the baby’s name, stating that “Eliana” symbolises “My God has answered.”
She wrote that the name was derived from “EL,” meaning God, and “ANA,” interpreted as “He has answered.”
The fashion entrepreneur also referenced a Bible verse from 1 Samuel 1:27, which reads: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”
The announcement marks a major milestone for the couple as they begin their journey into parenthood.
The news comes months after Veekee James publicly confirmed her pregnancy following what she previously described as a year-long wait.
