Reality TV personality Ilebaye Odiniya has drawn widespread concern online following an emotional livestream that surfaced on social media in the early hours of Saturday.
In the viral video, the 2023 Big Brother Naija All Stars winner appeared visibly distressed and tearful, repeatedly calling for help during the broadcast. Viewers also noticed visible swelling on her face as the incident unfolded.
At different moments in the livestream, Ilebaye was heard pleading for assistance and asking people nearby to intervene.
“Come and open the door, I want to be going,” she said in one part of the video, before later screaming, “Please come and help me.”
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, and it has not been confirmed whether security agencies were contacted over the matter.
Reacting to the development, fellow reality TV star Beauty Tukura reassured fans that Ilebaye was no longer in danger.
“She’s no longer in harm’s way. Thank God. It’s not my story to tell but thanks everyone. Ilebaye is fine and she’ll tell her story in her time,” Beauty wrote in a social media update.
