Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has stirred reactions online after publicly inviting her colleague, Funke Akindele, to a celebrity boxing match.
Her call-out comes shortly after Nigerian streamer Carter Efe secured a high-profile victory over singer Portable in a celebrity boxing bout held on Friday. The match reportedly came with a N50 million prize, which Carter Efe claimed after defeating his opponent.
In the aftermath of the fight, Lagos socialite E-Money gifted Carter Efe an additional cash reward in celebration of the win. Earlier, talent manager and music executive Soso Soberekon had also reportedly given both fighters financial support ahead of the match.
Riding on the momentum of the trending event, Badmus took to her Instagram page in a now-viral post to propose a similar bout. She directly challenged Akindele to step into the ring, suggesting it was time for a face-off.
The actress also called on E-Money and Soso Soberekon to bankroll the proposed match, hinting at the commercial potential of such an event.
Her post has since sparked conversations across social media, with fans weighing in on the possibility of a celebrity boxing clash between two prominent Nollywood figures.
