Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has offered a rare glimpse into his personal life, describing his current relationship status as complicated.
In a recent interview with BBC, the actor said he is neither fully single nor married, choosing instead to describe himself as existing “between” both states.
“I am between married and single,” he said, adding, “Figure it out,” when pressed for further explanation.
Iyke, who has largely kept his private life out of the spotlight in recent years, also reflected on deeply personal moments that have shaped him. He identified the birth of his son, Harvis Chidubem Ike, as the most fulfilling experience of his life, while describing the death of his mother as his most painful loss.
The actor was previously married to Lithuanian lawyer Dana Kinduryte, with whom he shares his son, born in 2015.
Their relationship reportedly ended following the passing of Iyke’s mother, an event he has previously described as emotionally overwhelming and a turning point in his personal life.
Despite the separation, reports suggest both parties have maintained an amicable relationship focused on co-parenting.
Iyke’s remarks add to ongoing public interest in his private life, as the actor continues to balance family experiences with his long-standing career in Nollywood.
