US rapper Offset has returned to live performance at the Coachella music festival just days after surviving a shooting incident in Florida. The former Migos member appeared on stage in a wheelchair for most of his set but was later seen standing and moving around unaided, signaling a gradual recovery.
The performance took place at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, where Offset delivered his set nearly a week after he was shot outside a casino in Florida. Authorities confirmed the incident happened at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Hotel & Casino area, where he sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
He was reportedly taken to Memorial Regional Hospital following the shooting, with police later confirming that the situation was contained and two individuals were detained as investigations continued. One suspect, identified as rapper Lil TJay, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
Following his Coachella appearance, Offset shared moments from the performance on Instagram with the caption: “REAL LOVE”.
His mother, Latabia Woodward, also reacted to his recovery and stage return, describing him as a “miracle walking”.
In a post shared days before the festival, Offset expressed gratitude for public support, writing:
“I’m focused on my family, my recovery and getting back to the music.
“Realising that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses.
“Life is a gamble and I’m still playing to win,”
Police, in an earlier statement about the incident, said:
“We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
